Pysanky Parties

Growing up as a Ukrainian-American, I have always known how important community and hospitality is to Ukrainian people. We want to extend and foster this sense of community through the Pysanky For Peace Project – and what better way to do that, than to host a Pysanky Party. If you are a pysanky artist, or want to learn with a group of friends – or even better – neighbors or strangers – we encourage you to set up a Pysanky Party.

Learn, share and even submit your pysanky to this project for sponsorship and exhibition opportunities. Send us photos of your Pysanky Party to be posted here on this page and our Instagram feed.

If you are hosting a party and would like to list it here on our calendar – please send us a message at [email protected] with the following details and we will list it for you!

Your/Host Name – Individual or Community Organization

Party Date & Time

Party Location

Party Details

We ask that if you are hosting a party for this project, and would like to have your event listed on the site, promoted, and images from your event shared – that you advise your guests to donate (mentioning the project) to either the Ukrainian organizations we are working to support through our Sponsor A Pysanky and T-Shirt initiatives – or to you local Ukrainian community – as they are working hard to help get much needed supplies over to Ukraine and supporting those who have had to flee. We ask that you keep track of the donations, so we have a sense of what this project is able to do to support these organizations – and it helps others to feel inspired to join in as well 🙂 If you have any questions, need any further information or a template to use to help promote your party and inform your guests – please let us know. We are working on a standard template that we will share here soon!

Thank you for your interest in this project and working to gather your community together to help spread and preserve Ukrainian tradition and to support the efforts of this project and those helping with humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
